My name is Chi Modu and I am a photographer. Kinda sounds like an announcement one makes at an AA meeting but, it is what it is. I have owned the url ephotos.com for almost ten years. I recently came to the realization that I could do others some good if I use it to promote their talents. I created this recent version of the ephotos site as another outlet for photographers and photo industry professionals to promote themselves free of charge. I decided to keep the advertising on the site to a minimum because I don't want the work to be lost behind useless articles and page after page of banner ads. I found this to be the problem with many of the other photography sites out there. Not to knock them but I was not interested in going that route with ephotos. Too often, other photography sites are trying to be all things to all people, a strategy that I feel, rarely works. As a wise friend of mine says, "you must put your stake in the ground and stand for something." Well, here is my stake in the ground for the photo community. I am not going to use this great url to create another page full of Google adwords for my own profit. I pledge to feature good work and talented people here and provide those artists that can't afford a major presence on the web a free and inexpensive way to bring exposure to their work. With the abundance of websites on the world wide web, we all need a little help to rise above the clamour.
